Private Piano Lessons with Jill Palmer
FALL SEMESTER IS STARTING IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!
I hope everyone had a marvelous, relaxing summer! I am thrilled to get started with our brand new 15-week Fall semester and our wonderful private piano and voice lessons. Due to my waiting list, everyone must send their deposits and forms as quickly as possible to me, so I may fill the limited spots I have on a first-come, first-served basis. It will be a busy Fall, culminating with our inspirational Winter Recitals in December.
Congratulations to all my stars who shined in our two Spring Recitals this past June at Steinway Piano Gallery in Boca Raton! You were all amazing, and I am very proud of everyone who participated. Your heartfelt performances even brought tears to the eyes of those watching. Congrats, everyone! We were all moved. I heard so many positive comments from everyone who attended that my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. People were stunned by the caliber of performances, and the amazing original lyrics and music they heard.
As mentioned, coming up in just 4 short months, I will again be providing my students with the wonderful opportunity to participate in one of TWO fabulous Winter Recitals, plus a couple other exciting, unique chances to perform at local venues. Outreach work will be starting as well, with students getting a chance to make a difference in the lives of others in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and all over Palm Beach County! We will be inspiring other with our beautiful musical hearts and soulful singing and playing. Stay tuned!
And please take a moment now to review my studio policies so we can all have a productive, fun Fall…
JILL’s STUDIO POLICIES:
Please double check your scheduled lesson days/times, and feel free to call me with any questions at 561-212-2380. As a reminder, please be punctual in dropping off your children for piano lessons. Each lesson begins promptly and ends on time. Please be respectful of others, and bring your child with the appropriate books and materials, including notebook, flashcards and sheet music. Also, please do not come to lessons if you are sick! I know my students never want to miss their music lessons, but I have young children of my own and must keep a very healthy home.
EXCITING UPDATES FROM THE STUDIO:
My current recording project with multiple Grammy-winner and Windham Hill Records Founder Will Ackerman is going even better than I had anticipated! (Still pinching myself about that one…so happy!) As most of you know, I am in the process of recording a full-length CD of about 12-15 of my original songs with Will, and work has already begun this summer. Tracks are going back and forth right now, and I couldn’t be happier about this incredible career opportunity. Will is truly a legend, and I feel very lucky to be joining creative forces with him and the other musicians playing on my CD. My summer trip to Vermont was postponed until this Fall, due to some unforeseen health issues on my part, but I am raring to go as soon as I can! Thanks to all of you for your excitement and encouragement. I will keep you posted for sure. Right now I am busy writing all kinds of new songs, and I can’t wait to hear the finished album!
Speaking of Grammy winners (like Will!) and awards, I had a great time casting my ballots for the 57th Grammy Awards as a Voting Member. I listened nonstop to music of all genres for weeks in order to make the best choices. All of you will be learning tons of new music this Fall as a result of my involvement in so many types of music and the extensive awards selection process. I am so excited to get started! Remember to please create a “wish list” of songs you would like to learn, and share it with me. We can do it! Remember any song can be learned….ANYTHING! The sky is the limit!
Thank you, and I feel truly blessed every day to be your teacher,
