| Called "the freshest new voice in piano," composer and pianist Jill Palmer creates music that soothes and stirs her listeners. Often described as a unique hybrid of Enya and George Winston, Jill is an instrumental artist who delights audiences with her meditative and deeply moving compositions. She is a featured artist on Pure Touch, Volume 1,
a CD featuring original piano music from seven handpicked artists from around the United States. In addition to publishing her music, Jill continues to perform compositions from her two other CDs, Wings to Fly and Remember When, as well as new material she is developing.

| A student of classical music, Jill's compositions are often called "cinematic," "warm," "complex," and "universal." Relying solely on the expressive range of the piano, she evokes acoustic landscapes and portraits that are vivid and rich with emotion.
"My melodies tell emotional stories that anyone in the world can relate to," Jill says. "I recently returned from Cannes, France where I shared my music with locals and industry professionals, and it was wonderful to see how my compositions cut across the boundaries of language and culture." Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Jill began playing piano at age 5 and composed her first melody at 8, a piece she still performs in concert and included on her first album. She began her professional career in the resort town of Girdwood, Alaska, in the shadow of Mt. Alyeska. The natural beauty of wild Alaska inspired much of the material from her first CD, Remember When. Sales of the album skyrocketed when it was added to Smooth Jazz and New Age playlists at radio stations across the U.S. from WJZW-FM in Washington, D.C., to KSKA-FM in Anchorage, Alaska. Worldwide record sales spanning the globe from the U.S. to Asia immediately established Jill as an instrumental artist who appeals to people of many cultures. Jill is also an artist who wants to make a difference in the lives of others. She has a deep affinity for children and is currently donating a portion of the proceeds from her CD sales to Locks of Love , a national non-profit organization that supplies hair prostheses to children with medical hair loss. ( Please see "Making a Difference" ) "I'm always looking for ways to give back to the community," she says. In fact, last year Jill performed in Greenwich Village, New York at a charity benefit concert for St. Veronica's Church. She also raised nearly $10,000 for Locks of Love by organizing and performing in a solo piano benefit concert at the Florida Stage in January of 2001. Playing live concerts is a great way for Jill to reach out to people, and it is one she relishes. "I love to connect with my audience during live perfomances," Jill says. "It gives me a chance to show them what each piece means to me, and I enjoy feeling their response. We always take exciting journeys together, never knowing where they might lead us." Jill is currently featured on several Internet music sites, and placed in the Top 40 Most Downloaded Artists list on Audiosurge.com. She also reached #1 in piano at mp3.com.au!
